Hopefully, we will continue to explore our BSN degree together so that we can continue our discussions!

I would not have enjoyed this semester AT ALL if all of you hadn’t suffered through it with me! I hope everyone has a terrific summer!!

The one page Gonorrhea layout is submitted, back to the tests and paper I have to do.

One more week and hopefully, these classes will be behind me. It’s not over until the grades are posted, but I sure hope I can move on!

Hope everyone is more caught up than I am. I’m sure I’ll be sitting right here at 0100 again…

Okay Team!

Let’s get finished! Hopefully, the poster will come together easily.

I’m still stuck in cincinatti. I’ll be home tomorrow around 1730, unless my flight has issues… knock on wood. I’m ready to be home now!

Hope everyone is doing well. I’m going to try to do the Assessment test after the seminar this evening. If tonight is like last night, there will be no way it gets done. I’m getting behind on behalf of work again. Ugh!

Well, it’s after midnight.

I’ve been busy finding gross pictures r/t Gonorrhea. Couldn’t eat dinner tonight, for some reason I’d lost all appetite. Maybe I should keep a couple pictures on the fridge… I’m just glad I couldn’t smell the photos too! That’s one of the things I do not miss about the ER, all the STD treatments in the middle of the night.

Have to fly to Ohio on Thursday for a Bariatric conference. Hopefully, my flights will be on time and smooth. I tried to book with Delta, but I’m flying with American. Hopefully, my planes have been checked and fixed and I won’t get stuck trying to come home! It should be an interesting conference. It’s for surgeons, but my Ethicon rep put me on the list. I hope I’m not the only nurse there, but it won’t be the first time. Yippee!

A couple of tests and completion of the 2 final papers and it will be almost over!

Hopefully, the Gonorrhea layout will be acceptable. I didn’t know what else to do, so I did what I could.

Okay, bottom of the eigth, we’re up to bat…

All of us sound so tired! We are almost through this semester! Hopefully we will all take the summer off and regroup for the Fall Semester.

i can see my grade for my assessment video. Thankfully, it’s a keeper. I think I’d consider dropping out if I had to resubmit that video! I’m comfortable in person and an absolute stuttering idiot on film… I wish I knew why. I’m sure Freud would have something to say. I can’t wait to see the actual write-up.

I have to finish my future of nursing paper. I can’t afford to get behind again.

Finally!! The Assessment DVD has left the building!

I had 4 people volunteer to be assessed and they all backed out for various reasons over the last 4 weeks. BOOO! A completely different friend stepped up to the plate on April Fool’s day and the video was made.

Of course, my resident computer-geek refused to help me because it was the last week and he wanted to prove a point that procratination doesn’t pay. (Thanks, honey!)

Now it’s time to crack down and finish up the rest of the projects. Luck to all! Let’s get busy!

Spring Break!!

Spring Break is here! I get to work all week. Lucky me!
We are bound to be short staffed because everyone wanted the week off to spend with the kids.
My daughter will be off, I’ll spend time with her in the evenings. She is looking forward to watching TV all week. I would love to be a child again when looking forward to TV was a big deal. I would give a lot to be able to go to the coast and relax for a few days!

I hope everyone will find time for a snooze and some rest. I’m going to keep reading these unending chapters and try to make them fun. Ciao!

Movin’ On!

Here we go, another week gone! I’m reading all of these books, but I’m still having trouble retaining.
If we could get Stephen King to author our assignments, I know I could retain and incorporate all of the needed instruction. These past few chapters seem redundant. I know there must be more that I’m missing, because it all seems to run together. Hopefully, every one else is having an easier time than I.

Work is hectic. We are down staff, so if anyone knows some experienced OR nurses, we’d love to speak with them! I’d sure love the help, maybe I could get home at a reasonable hour.

New Knowledge is Super!

Well, we had our face-to-face meeting tonight. It’s was terrific meeting people in person!
I found out that my instructors were attmpting to communicate with me via e-mail.
After I got home, I logged on and with a brief struggle found my browser set to high security and after that was turned to Medium, 50 e-mails came through!

I must apologize to the group. The Assessment instructor DID Answer each one of my questions. I wish I’d known. I wouldn’t have felt so isolated. I would have maintained my high opinion of her if I’d received the answers. Sorry!

I have a lot of catching up to do. The ride home was COLD, but the meeting was worth it!
